Policies, Terms and Conditions

  • As payment we accept cash, eftpos, visa, bankcard, or mastercard.
  • While we endeavour to keep the web site and pricelists up to date, management reserves the right to change treatments and prices from time to time and without notice.
  • In the interest of client care, prior to any treatment being performed at the spa a health consultation form must be completed. Please disclose any medical condition, injuries and/or prescription medication you are taking as some services and/or products may be contra-indicated.
  • Please arrive 15 mins prior to your appointment as late arrival may reduce your treatment time.
  • In the interest of other spa guests, please turn mobile phones off or to a silent ring tone.
  • For packages including hydrotherapy spa, bathers are required.
  • Longer packages require maximum notice when scheduling appointments.
  • Please leave valuables at home as we take no responsibility for lost or damaged items.
  • Please arrange childcare prior to your appointment.
  • Appointments over 1 hour will require credit card details in order to hold the booking.

Reservations Or Booking policy

Soul Central Thai Massage enjoys high occupancy throughout the year. It is recommended to arrange your appointments prior to arrival. All appointments need to be guaranteed with a 50% deposit at time of booking. If paying by Gift Voucher, please quote your Gift Voucher number when booking.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment please notify the spa at least 72 hours prior to your treatment. Failure to do so will regrettably result in the forfeit of the 50% booking deposit. (this fee can only be waived if we are able to fill your appointment slot with another guest on our waiting list, packages and gift vouchers are non refundable.) Making an appointment at Soul Central Thai Massage is acknowledgement of this cancellation policy.

Arrival

Please arrive at the spa at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment. This will allow you time to change, complete a consultation form and enjoy a welcome drink. Treatment times are approximated and will include a verbal consultation with your therapist.

Arriving late

Your late arrival may compromise the full length of your treatment. Plan your "time-out" carefully, as all treatments conclude at the scheduled time. Guests are welcome to arrive earlier than their recommended arrival time to enjoy our surrounds prior to their treatment.

Gender Preference

We have both male and female professional therapists. If you have a preference, please let us know when you make your reservation.

Health

Your health and wellbeing are our top priority. For your safety, you will be asked to complete a confidential questionnaire that includes questions regarding medical conditions. Our highly trained staff will ensure that your service is suitable.

Soul Central Gift Voucher Terms & Conditions

Acceptance

In purchasing and/or using the Soul Central Gift Vouchers the Customer is deemed to have confirmed that they have read and fully accept these Terms and Conditions.

The Soul Central Gift Voucher Program

  1. All Gift Vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase and all Gift Vouchers are subject to verification at the time of booking.
  2. Soul Central Gift Vouchers may be redeemed for full/part payment against goods and/or services at Soul Central Thai Massage.
  3. Only one transaction per Soul Central Gift Voucher is permitted.
  4. It is up to the Customer to use the Gift Voucher's full value. Any unused balance on the Voucher cannot be exchanged for cash or redeemed at Soul Central Thai Massage.
  5. Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.
  6. Soul Central Thai Massage will not take any responsibility for any lost, stolen or damaged Gift Vouchers. Only original Gift Vouchers will be accepted and no photocopies will be accepted.
  7. Soul Central Thai Massage will have their own terms and conditions, which cover the use of their services and goods, such as cancellation fees and/or minimum cancellation periods. It is also at the discretion of the Soul Central as to what services and products Soul Central Gift Vouchers can be used against. Customers should make themselves aware of the Soul Central's terms surrounding the use of Soul Central Gift Vouchers before making an appointment, as they will be binding on the Customer.
  8. All bookings/appointments are made between the Customer and the Soul Central directly. Soul Central accepts no responsibility and will give no refunds in the event that the Soul Central is unavailable on the desired dates.

Refunds

  1. You are entitled to return a Soul Central Gift Voucher within 14 days of receipt for a full refund of the face value of the voucher. In this case, all refunds will be made to the person who purchased the Soul Central Gift Voucher and will be made within 30 days of notification of cancellation and receipt of the original Soul Central Gift Voucher. However, after this 14 day period, Soul Central will be unable to refund any payments made.
  2. To request a refund please contact us at and include the order number, voucher code, reason for refund.
  3. If you wish to return your Soul Central Gift Voucher(s) please return itr(s) via Registered Post to Soul Central Thai Massage or Our Shop directly.

Expired Gift Vouchers

  1. Soul Central have the right to refuse an expired Soul Central Gift Voucher presented to them as form of payment.
  2. All vouchers and gift cards must be used within the validity period. Once a voucher has expired, SoulCentral is under no obligation to offer an extension; however we routinely assess such requests on a case-by-case basis.
  3. If you wish to request an extension to the value of your gift voucher, please submit your request via email at and include the order number, voucher code and a return postage address.
  4. Extension requests are reviewed closely by our Customer Services Team and you should expect to receive a response from one of our team members within 5 working days.

Fraud

  1. Soul Central reserves the right to cancel or decline a Soul Central Gift Voucher that has been purchased from anywhere other than the official Soul Central website.
  2. Soul Central will not accept responsibility for claims, demands, losses, costs, expenses or liability of whatsoever nature, consequential or otherwise, arising from or in connection with the use or purchase of fraudulent or counterfeit Soul Central Gift Vouchers.

Changes to Terms and Conditions

Soul Central reserves the right to change its Terms and Conditions without notice. The up-to-date Terms and Conditions will be posted in our website, www.soulcentralthaimassage.com.au

WHY SOUL CENTRAL COLLECTS PERSONAL INFORMATION

Customer consent

Wherever practical, Soul Central will obtain the express consent of Customers to the collection of Personal Information. In some situations, Soul Central will interpret a Customer's actions as indicating that a Customer consents to the collection of Personal Information. This may occur where the Customer has provided Personal Information for a particular purpose and that purpose cannot be achieved without Soul Central making use of the Customer's Personal Information.

What happens if Personal Information is not provided?

Where relevant, Soul Central will endeavour to make Customers aware that Soul Central may not be able to provide a proper service to them if Personal Information is not provided upon request. For example, in order to deliver an order placed for gift cards, we would need certain Personal Information such as addressee name and postal address.

Cookies

Cookies are small pieces of data stored on the web browser on computers. Soul Central websites may store cookies on a Customer's web browser. The main reasons Soul Central stores cookies are to:

  1. improve Customers' website browsing experience. For example, to remember a Customer's search criteria and to remember any site preferences for future visits to the site;
  2. gather statistics on site usage; for example, page views and drop off points so Soul Central can monitor site usage and make improvements to site usability.

  5. to conduct marketing activities for Soul Central's products and services, or products and services of third parties, and to conduct market and other research to improve Soul Central's products, services and marketing activities;
  6. to register any shareholding Customers may have in Soul Central and to contact them in relation to any shareholding;
  7. to conduct market research and analysis;
  8. to provide information technology services such as data storage, distribution services, communication networks, software and system development, maintenance and support, and information processing, analysis and reporting;
  9. to provide services in the course of investigating a complaint or a security incident;
  10. for the purposes of a confidential alternative dispute resolution process; or
  11. to maintain records and comply with Australian law.

Disclosure of Personal Information

In general, only officers, employees or contractors of Soul Central may view Personal Information. Soul Central will only grant access to parties other than Soul Central's officers, employees and contractors to view Personal Information where Soul Central believes that access is necessary to achieve the purpose for which the Personal Information was collected.

From time to time, Soul Central may grant access to service partners, companies or individuals with whom it shares some common commercial interest to view Personal Information where Soul Central believes that access is necessary to achieve the purpose for which the Personal Information was collected.

To the extent that these service partners, companies or individuals are located in Australia and Soul Central gives them access to a Customer's Personal Information, they are subject to privacy legislation which prevents the Personal Information being used for any other purposes. Soul Central will only disclose Personal Information to parties other than Soul Central's officers, employees and contractors without a Customer's consent if:

  1. Soul Central believes that the disclosure may lessen a risk of harm to the health or safety of any person;
  2. Soul Central believes an unlawful activity is being undertaken and the Personal Information is disclosed as part of Soul Central's investigation into this activity;
  3. Soul Central is required by law to disclose the Personal Information; or
  4. the disclosure is required for the enforcement of a criminal law or a law imposing a pecuniary penalty or for the protection of public revenue.

International transfers

Soul Central may disclose Personal Information to countries outside Australia. Soul Central will only do so in compliance with all applicable Australian data protection and privacy laws. Soul Central will take reasonable steps to protect Personal Information no matter what country it is stored in or transferred to.

Identification

Soul Central does not use any prohibited identifiers (such as a tax file number) to identify its Customers.

Storage and Security

Personal Information may be stored in either hard copy form or on computer or both. Hard copy Personal Information is wherever practical, kept under locked security. Personal Information stored on computer is wherever practical, password protected. Where possible and practical, Soul Central will endeavour to comply with recognised Australian and international standards relating to information security. Soul Central regularly deletes and de-identifies Personal Information if the information is no longer needed by Soul Central.

Updating Personal Information

Soul Central regularly monitors the quality and accuracy of Personal Information that it maintains and where practical, updates that information on a regular basis. Customers can update or correct their Personal Information at any time by contacting Soul Central's Privacy Officer.

MINORS

Soul Central has adopted the position proposed by the Privacy Commissioner that a young person is able to give their consent when he or she has a sufficient understanding and maturity to understand what is being proposed. When obtaining personal information from minors, Soul Central's staff will make an objective determination before collecting that information as to whether the persons involved would be able to provide informed consent to the use of their personal information.

COMPETITIONS

Personal information gathered during competitions and trade promotions run by Soul Central will be governed by the principles set out in this Privacy Policy unless an express statement is made in relation to privacy in the conditions of entry for the competition.

DIRECT MARKETING

Personal Information collected for direct marketing purposes will only be collected, used or disclosed with the consent of the relevant Customer as provided for in this Privacy Policy. In circumstances where Soul Central cannot practically obtain the consent of a Customer, then Soul Central may still engage in direct marketing to that Customer, but will:

  1. include an 'unsubscribe' facility so Customers can unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time; and
  2. clearly and accurately identify the sender of the message; and
  3. include information about how Customers can contact Soul Central if Customers wish to be removed from any mailing list or to contact Soul Central's Privacy Officer.

ACCESS TO PERSONAL INFORMATION

Customers may access their Personal Information by contacting Soul Central's Privacy Officer. Any request to provide access to this information will be dealt with within a reasonable time.

WHEN Soul Central MAY WITHHOLD ACCESS TO PERSONAL INFORMATION

When access can be withheld

Access to Personal Information may be withheld in a number of circumstances. These include where:

  1. providing access would pose a serious and imminent threat to the life or health of a person;
  2. providing access would have an unreasonable impact on the privacy of others;
  3. the information is subject to confidentiality where the person who provided the information to Soul Central did so expressly on the condition that it remains confidential;
  4. the request is vexatious or frivolous;
  5. the information relates to current or anticipated legal proceedings between Soul Central and the person and the information would not be required to be discovered to a court;
  6. Soul Central is in commercial negotiations with the person and the information would reveal Soul Central's intentions;
  7. providing access would be unlawful or Soul Central is required by a law to withhold access; or
  8. providing access could prejudice the investigation or detection by Soul Central or by a government body of an unlawful activity or some serious or improper misconduct.

Where Soul Central does withhold Personal Information, Soul Central may instead choose to give the Customer a summary of that information.

Written reasons

If Soul Central withholds access to Personal Information, Soul Central will provide written reasons to the extent required and how the Customer may complain about the refusal.

Third party intermediary

If Soul Central withholds access to Personal Information, Soul Central will consider whether the provision of access to an independent third party will meet Soul Central's and the relevant Customer's needs.

CONTRACTORS

Soul Central may from time to time employ subcontractors to provide services to it. In these situations, Personal Information may be collected about those subcontractors. This Privacy Policy applies equally to those subcontractors.
